An Introduction to PerksConnect
Creating Offers
The "Offers" section is to display an offer you want to show on the PerksConnect app and website all the time.

Title: Give your offer a headline

Details: Describe the offer as specifically as you can (use 30 words or less)

Preview: Once your offer is created, click the "Preview" button to see how it will look.

Publish: After you have previewed the offer, click the "Publish" button and your offer will display on the mobile app and website within an hour.
Creating Hot Deals
Hot Deals are offers that are just too good to make available all the time. Hot Deals are usually time sensitive and provide a larger incentive to consumers than the everyday offers described above. Hot Deals are intended to drive consumers into businesses during slow periods of the day or week.

Publish: After you have previewed the offer, click the “Publish” button and your offer will display on the mobile app and website within an hour.

Remove a Hot Deal: If you want to remove a hot deal submit a “blank” field.
Icons - What do they mean?
Popular Merchants are those with 25 or more PerksConnect members who have selected them as a Favorite. Popular Merchants have the blue “thumbs up” icon next to their business name letting other PerksConnect members know their status and prompting them to view their Offer or Hot Deal. By clicking on Popular Merchants, members can see what new offers are available from the popular merchants.

Hot Deals are the type of offers that are just too good to make available all the time. Hot Deals are usually time sensitive and provide a larger incentive to consumers than the everyday offers.

Favorites are selected by each PerksConnect member. By clicking on Favorites, members can see what new offers are available from their favorite merchants. Every time a member views your offer or Hot Deal, they are promted to add you to their list of Favorites.

Messages can be sent directly to any one who has marked your business as a Favorite.
Popularity
A merchant is able to track their Popularity status on this section of the Merchant Dashboard. The Popularity section tracks the amount of customers who have made you a favorite. Every time a member views your offer or Hot Deal, they are prompted to add you to their list of Favorites.
Marketing Tools
PerksConnect provides each merchant with the ability to print out custom posters that promote the program in-store and around town. The signage allows consumers to scan and join the PerksConnect network. Existing PerksConnect members know to scan the sign to populate the merchant offer on their phones.

Printing Posters: To print signs simple click “View/Print” button under the Tools Section of the Merchant Dashboard. Signage is automatically customized with the Merchant Name, Address, and unique QR Code.

Unique QR Code Each merchant is assigned their own unique Quick Response (QR) Code. QR Codes allow consumers to join the PerksConnect program or members to check recent offers by scanning the code with their Smartphone. The QR code allows PerksConnect to report information back to merchants on-line, so encourage you customers to scan when present at your location!

Where do I place my QR Code? QR Codes can be placed on Facebook pages, print advertising, store giveaways, menus, receipts, bags, stickers or any type of marketing materials imaginable. The QR code connects your customers and consumers to you, so place it where they will see it the most!
Using Social Media with PerksConnect
Once your business has a Facebook and/or Twitter account login to your PerksConnect merchant dashboard. Click the green connect buttons next to the Facebook and/or Twitter icons.
After clicking the connect button you will be prompted to login to Facebook or Twitter; login and select your account preferences. Your offers and hot deals will now automatically post to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Sending Messages
Send messages directly to your Favorites. Messages are sent in real-time and one-way only (from merchant to Favorite). Merchants have the option to expire messages in 1 – 7 days and new Messages replace previously sent messages. Favorites will always see the most recent message sent.

Sending a Message: Messages should communicate special offers, VIP events or insider communications that merchants reserve for their Favorite customers. If a message includes a special offer, it must be available to PerksConnect members who present the offer at the point of sale. Messages are ultimately determined by merchants, but must use appropriate language and content.
Adding Favorites
Send messages to your customers as often as you like when they add you as a favorite. Use PerksConnect Messaging to promote new products, discounts and merchandise. Send messages to your customers to increase traffic during slow times; all at no additional cost.
Updating My Account
The information you provided at the point of registration is listed in the “Merchant Account” section of the website. To update information regarding your merchant account and payment options please call PerksConnect at 1-866-671-3322; a live representative will update your information and answer any questions you may have.
